Any Changes to the Operational Status of the Thrift Store (such as Early Closures or Delayed Openings) will be posted here.  Please be advised that if the Thrift Store would be closed, the following things would be evident:

1. The Thrift Store will email appropriate Church Staff to inform them of the closure, and if necessary, to have them post a notice of the closure.
2. Staff would post a Notice on the Front and Back doors of the TUMC to inform patrons that we would be closed, and when we would expect to reopen.
3. When dealing with Inclement weather, the decision to close would be made between 5-7AM. It is also possible that some decisions for really bad weather will be made the day or night before the storm.
4. The weather conditions will be monitored for any changes during the storm.
5. If Barre City Cancels schools, there is a HIGH probability that the Store will be Closed.
6. If  the City of Montpelier Cancels Schools, there is a HIGH probability that the Store will be Closed.
7. Road Conditions for the current day will be examined – If it is too dangerous to travel, the store will Close.
8. If we DO close, the Store Staff will UPDATE our Answering System with the Store’s Current Status.
9. The Executive Director will either email all staff members to inform them of the closure, or will contact them by phone to discuss it.
10. If we have to close EARLY, we will post notice of the Closure on the Front and Back Doors of the TUMC, as well as the Door of the Thrift Store.
